St George's Nursing Home in Witham is now part of Outlook Care
A welcome from our Chief Executive
I am delighted to confirm that the first phase of our refurbishment, post-acquisition in October 2022, at St George's Nursing Home, Witham is nearing completion. Our team has delivered fantastic results in transforming the communal areas enjoyed by our residents, and we have now begun posting some images to the Gallery page on this website. This will be updated as we progress. In addition to these resident experience enhancing changes, we have delivered many other improvements to the environment including a full kitchen renovation, and have begun the process of refurbishing each bedroom.
I am very proud that we have been able to implement all of these improvements whilst continuing to deliver quality, person centred care to every resident living at St George's Nursing Home. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the families and their loved ones who reside at St George's.
I thank them for their patience and understanding during this time. I would also thank our wonderful staff who have continued to provide the care and support that our residents deserve.
Yours sincerely,
Piotr Rejek. July 2023

Community at St George's Nursing Home
We promote and encourage the independence of our residents, supporting them to live fulfilled and stimulated lives. We have a full time Activities Manager who is widely praised for the range of therapeutic and leisure activities provided, such as arts and crafts, baking afternoons, gardening club and Poetry groups. Outside entertainers often visit the home, plus we hold our own themed days.
During the summer months we arrange outings to local places of interest and sometimes a drive out for a cup of tea and cake or a fish and chip supper on the prom at Maldon. All residents who have a special interest or hobby are encouraged and if practicable facilitated to enable them to continue. We have a visiting Hairdresser, Chiropodist, Dentist and Optician and we hold regular Religious Services.
Every month a Social Calendar is delivered to each resident with a planned programme of events and activities. A regular News Letter is also produced.
We are mindful that COVID is circulating again, so kindly ask all visitors to familiarise themselves with below, and be prepared for any temporary measures that we may need to introduce.
